Design Museum Boston Interview

I was recently interviewed by Design Museum Boston regarding my design for the Pattern Walk. If you haven't been to see it yet, head down to the Harbor Garage and check out the awesome work by local Boston designers and firms! Great stuff.

Finished Tattoo Design

This is the finished draft with color. If the client is happy with it, I'll scale it to size and translate it to black and white or basic color for the tattoo artist to work from.

MFA Thesis Transfigurement; Animophilia and an in-progress tattoo design

Now that I've finished my thesis, I'm taking more commission work. This is a tattoo design I'm in the middle of! It's an augmentation of an existing tattoo that the client wanted illuminated. The circle outlines are the existing tattoo; the color, bird, patterning, and shading will be added. The green lumps are pattern weights. Very useful for holding your paper down. They won't be in the tattoo.

Meanwhile

Still getting the hang of silverpoint.

I didn't anticipate being someone who drew big cats often, but I do. Fur patterns.

This ended up not being the poster for my part in the show, but I think it looks neat and is a good advertisement. Come check out fabric designs!
